Spooky Stories for the Halloween Season!

Happy October!

As most everyone knows by now, I not only write sizzling erotic romances, I also write short horror fiction. This week in my month of horror blogs, I'm sharing a look at my short stories that have appeared in horror anthologies.

If you’re looking for a gift for someone who likes to read horror stories - or if you’re a horror fan who wants to get in the spirit of the holiday season, give these collections a try. Anthologies are an excellent way to discover new authors, read different types of stories, and have a good scare!

My story, "Home for Halloween" was included in the Moon Shadows horror anthology, released in October. This tale of two brothers reunited for Halloween showcases the best elements of this special holiday.

Look for my ghost story, "Thursday Night Bingo" in Wrapped in White - a collection of 13 tales of spectres, ghosts, and spirits. Late one night, a persistent ghost visits an old woman and makes her doubt her sanity...

"Sometimes Monsters Are Real" appeared in the Mistresses of the Macabre anthology. In this psychological nightmare, a vulnerable woman is visited by an unusual creature in the dead of night…

It can't be good when the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse come to town. The Four Horsemen: An Anthology of Conquest, War, Famine & Death, contains twenty-five short stories and is based on The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. In “The Ape” a young boy in South Carolina uses an unusual “toy” as a tool for revenge.

“Just an Innocent Little Cat” was published in DARK THINGS II: Cat Crimes: Tales of Feline Mayhem and Murder. All proceeds from sales of this anthology go to several cat sanctuaries across the USA. Dogs may be man's best friend, but Chester is a loyal feline who will do anything to keep his mistress happy. The character of Chester is based on a real-life orange cat.
Haunted is a collection of 42 stories about haunted places! Set in a haunted house, “Whispers from the Past” blends the paranormal with a startling bit of reality.

These anthologies are available in various electronic formats and (and in some cases) paperback.

Excerpts from all of these terrifying tales are on my site: www.KelliWilkins.com. I hope you'll check them out.
Next week on the blog, I’ll share an interview about writing horror stories!

Until next time!
Happy Haunting,
Kelli
