This week, the talented Deborah A. Bailey is spotlighting her newest book in the Hathor Legacy series of sci-fi romances, Hathor Legacy: Revelations.
I’ve enjoyed the first two books in the series and look forward to reading book three. Here’s the summary and a brief excerpt.
Hathor Legacy: Revelations – Book Three of the Hathor Legacy Series
An enemy returns to spark new tensions between the Guardians and Novacorp. In the midst of the crisis, Nadira is given information about her parents that threatens to destroy her relationship to the Guardians and to Jonathan.
While Nadira searches for answers, Jonathan is enticed into the hedonistic world of the Novacorp executive class. His entertainment club attracts the elite of Hathor, but his notoriety comes with a price.
The worlds of the Guardians and Novacorp are put on a collision course where only one side may come out on top. Nadira is called on to make the ultimate sacrifice to save the legacy of the First Families, the original settlers of Hathor, while Guardians, Kasema and Deshtu PSI groups are faced with the choice to unite or be brought completely under Novacorp control.
Old scores are settled and long-hidden truths are revealed, and at the end, Nadira and Jonathan’s relationship—and their world—will never be the same.
A Brief Excerpt…
The shuttle terminal was crowded as usual, and all Nadira wanted was to get back to the quiet of the apartment. She'd left Jon a message, and was surprised he hadn't answered. Reaching out to him through their connection hadn't worked. Sometimes it didn't, particularly if one of them was tired or stressed. She was both at this point.
As she was walked past the arcade of shops, pings of energy ran up and down her neck. She opened her awareness to scan the people around her, picking up emotions and thoughts that hit her from all directions. With all the activity, it was hard to narrow it down to any one person. Emotions flowed like powerful waves on the beach, slamming into her, then receding as she picked up the next wave.
Then she felt it. A familiar energy closing in on her. Not Jonathan. Someone was tracking her with the intensity of a stunner blast hitting a target.
Nadira spun around and jumped back when she saw Zina. What the hell did she want?
"Zina! Why are you following me?" Nadira asked as she grabbed her bag and held it close to her body. Her reaction had been so sudden, the travel bag had swung around and hit her in the stomach.
"Come with me. Now." Zina grabbed her arm. "I'm trying to help you. Let's go over there by the public coms."
"What are you talking about? Help me?" Nadira pulled away. "What's wrong with you?"
Zina grabbed her again and dug her nails into Nadira's flesh. "Look, we don't want security involved. Move!" she hissed, her breath hot against Nadira's ear.
